FitBit Alta
The Fitbit Alta is a thin fitness wristband that automatically tracks sleep and all physical activities such as steps, sleep, distance, runs, calories burned, and the wearer’s active minutes. It is designed to keep health and fitness at the core front of the wearer’s life with accurate tracking. The Fitbit app, used for analyzing all the data recorded by the wristband, is available for both IOS and android. This FitBit product uses a vibrator motor for notification, as well as 4.0 Bluetooth to sync to the app on smartphones and a USB cord for PC & Mac book. When connected to the app, this FitBit gets call, text, and calendar notifications with vibrations. It can also set move reminders for different to-dos, keeping you in charge of your day’s activities. You can select how you want the wristband to display on the app.
FitBit Alta Bands
With its sleek design, it fits perfectly with many outfits. You can also personalize its look to suit your taste or outfits with interchangeable metal, leather, and classic Fitbit Alta bands. This aspect makes this product stylish and a perfect solution for aesthetic-looking wearables. This FitBit product comes in multiple colorways and is lightweight, comfortable, and tender to the skin. In terms of design, it is the best-looking amongst Fitbit’s wristbands.
Fitbit Alta features a touch-sensitive OLED display screen to show time and date and all tracked data. Tapping on the screen changes the stats it displays. The Alta also comes with an accelerometer that kicks into smart track mode when an activity goes on for some minutes. The battery can last up to five days with intense tracking. When the battery gets low, it recharges with a unique Fitbit Alta charger, with a proprietary cable that clips on the Fitbit charging port. This charger works only for Alta’s wristband.
Putting on and taking off this device is easy. It features a simple latch mechanism that uses two push-pins on the left side of the band and a series of holes on the right side of the band to fasten together on the wrist. It fits perfectly and doesn’t pinch.
FitBit Alta HR
The basic Alta doesn’t have a heart rate monitor. To fix this limitation, the company designed a new fitness wristband with a heart rate monitor. The Fitbit Alta hr is an Alta with a heart rate sensor and Fitbit’s pure pulse technology at the back. All of Alta’s unique features were retained except for the latch mechanism system changed to a buckle system. This version is also comfortable to wear – it’s bands don’t get in the way much, and it certainly won’t break. You can swap out the Fitbit Alta hr bands with fancy leathers and metal to find the one that best suits your style. The battery life is seven days, even when the heart-rate tracking technology is activated.
How to restart the Fitbit Alta
If you experience any syncing or display issues, this is how to restart the Fitbit Alta.
- Take the Fitbit Alta charger cord and plug it into an adapter or PC/MAC USB port.
- The charger cord has a button on it. You’ll press the button three times at about 8s intervals. On each press, the device vibrates.
- After pressing three times, you should see the Fitbit logo displayed.
- Unplug the cord, and double-tap the Fitbit Alta screen. It will display.
Overall, the Fitbit Alta and HR version are lovely to wear, give accurate results, have a decent number of essential health tracking and light activity tracking features.
